Kylie was a Texas Country singer/songwriter from Wylie, Texas and a artist on the syndicated television documentary series, Troubadour, TX. Kylie was enrolled in a vocal camp at age twelve and began her own songs and playing guitar. By the time she graduated from school, Kylie earned a music scholarship and a welding scholarship - but took neither and decided to press on with her musical. Kylie is one of the featured artists in Troubadour, TX, a television show documenting her rising career as a Texas Country singer/songwriter. July 1, 2010, Kylie released her debut album titled All The Right Reasons, followed by an EP in 2013 titled Taking It Back. In 2013, Kylie began working on material for a second full-length album and is touring with fellow Troubadour, TX star Zane Williams throughout the state. Harris died in a car accident on September 4, 2019 in New Mexico.
Harris clipped the car in front of her, then lost control of her Chevrolet Equinox and careened into the path of oncoming traffic, local sheriff Jerry Hogrefe commented.
Her car collided with an SUV driven by 16-year-old Maria Elena Cruz. Harris and the teen, who were both alone in their cars, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 30-year-old singer had been touring throughout Texas and the southwest this summer, promoting her self-titled album.
Kylie Rae Harris was taken from us in a tragic car accident last night on her way to a show in Taos, NM. Kylie was always so sweet to everyone who came in her path and as we mourn, I’d like us to come together and help take some of the burden away from her family and daughter. I’m hoping we can raise enough money to cover her funeral as well as help with funding money for her daughter Corbie’s college fund. Anything helps and 100% of the money raised will go directly to Kylie’s family. Let’s pull together and take care of one of our own. Donate Here: Place your donation by clicking here!
